Last time I arrived in Moscow this map allowed me to reach my meeting and hotel. Cancellation of a flight by American Airlines, and subsequent rebooking, landed me at Domodedovo more than 12 hours late, at 3 am. Local friends knew that I hadn't arrived on time, but not when I actually would arrive. I remembered some of the most valuable advice I've ever received: "Never take a taxi in Moscow". I avoided the tough guys hissing "Taxi, my friend?" and the stolid ladies at lifeless transport kiosks.
With the help of a map like this, a souvenir from a previous visit, I bought a ticket for the train to Paveletskaya, waited inline to buy a Metro ticket from a rude babushka, transferred at Novokuznetzskaya, exited at Leninski Prospekt and finally made my way to the meeting venue at the Russian Academy of Sciences on time. I felt that I had won a round of chess-boxing. Of course, the kindness and foresight of my Russian friends was essential to my reaching the goal.
